1. Purpose
Nexora English Academy is committed to providing a professional, inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to achieve academic and personal success.
This Student Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour expected from all students enrolled in the Academy. It promotes respect, integrity, responsibility, and professionalism while ensuring a safe and positive learning experience for everyone.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- All enrolled students.
- Trial lesson participants.
- Corporate learners.
- Group class participants.
- One-to-one students.
- IELTS preparation students.
- Business English learners.
- General English learners.
- Any person participating in Nexora English Academy learning activities.
The policy applies to all online classes, assessments, webinars, workshops, Academy events, and official communication platforms.

4. Expected Standards of Behaviour
Students are expected to:

- Arrive on time for scheduled classes.
- Be prepared with the necessary learning materials.
- Complete assignments to the best of their ability.
- Maintain a positive and supportive attitude.

- Communicate professionally during all Academy interactions.
5. Online Classroom Conduct
Students participating in online learning should:
- Join classes on time.
- Test their internet connection, camera, and microphone before lessons.
- Attend lessons from a quiet and appropriate learning environment.
- Use respectful language at all times.
- Avoid disruptive behaviour.
- Follow the tutor's instructions.
- Participate actively in discussions and activities.
- Keep mobile phone distractions to a minimum during lessons.
- Use their real name when joining Academy classes unless otherwise agreed.
6. Academic Integrity
Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of academic honesty.
Students must not:
- Cheat during assessments.
- Submit another person's work as their own.
- Plagiarise written assignments.
- Use unauthorised assistance during examinations.
- Share assessment materials without permission.
- Falsify academic records or achievements.
Academic dishonesty may result in disciplinary action.
7. Respectful Communication
Students shall:
- Communicate politely.
- Listen respectfully to others.
- Avoid offensive, abusive, discriminatory, or threatening language.
- Accept constructive feedback professionally.
- Respect cultural and individual differences.
- Maintain professional behaviour in emails, messages, and online discussions.
8. Attendance and Participation
Students are expected to:
- Attend scheduled lessons regularly.
- Notify the Academy of absences where possible.
- Participate actively during lessons.
- Complete assigned learning activities.
- Demonstrate commitment to their learning goals.
Regular attendance is essential for successful progress.
9. Use of Learning Resources
Students shall:
- Use Academy materials only for personal learning.
- Respect copyright and intellectual property rights.
- Not copy, distribute, sell, or reproduce Academy resources without written permission.
- Use Academy technology responsibly.
10. Privacy and Confidentiality
Students must respect the privacy of others by:
- Not sharing personal information about tutors or fellow students without permission.
- Not recording lessons without prior written approval from the Academy.
- Protecting confidential discussions held during classes.
- Respecting the confidentiality of assessment results and personal data.
11. Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviours are strictly prohibited:

12. Digital Citizenship
Students are expected to demonstrate responsible online behaviour by:
- Using technology ethically.
- Respecting copyright.
- Protecting passwords and account credentials.
- Reporting suspicious online activity.
- Maintaining professionalism on Academy platforms.
13. Dress and Professional Appearance
For live online lessons, students are encouraged to maintain an appropriate appearance that reflects respect for the learning environment, particularly during corporate training, presentations, assessments, and official Academy events.
14. Disciplinary Process
Where a student breaches this policy, the Academy may take appropriate action, including:
- Informal guidance.
- Verbal warning.
- Written warning.
- Temporary suspension from classes.
- Removal from specific learning activities.
- Permanent withdrawal from the Academy in cases of serious or repeated misconduct.
Disciplinary decisions will be fair, impartial, and proportionate to the circumstances.
