Nexora English Academy emblemNEXORAENGLISH ACADEMY

Effective 31 August 2026·Last updated 31 August 2026

1. PURPOSE

Nexora English Academy International (“Nexora,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to providing high-quality online English-language education and maintaining a fair, transparent, and professional approach to payments, cancellations, withdrawals, and refunds.

This Refund and Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) explains the circumstances under which students and customers (“Student,” “Customer,” “you,” or “your”) may cancel an enrollment or request a refund for an online course, class, program, workshop, assessment, or other educational Service purchased from Nexora.

This Policy forms part of Nexora's Terms of Service and should be read together with those Terms and our Privacy Policy.

By purchasing or enrolling in a Nexora Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or override any mandatory consumer or legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

2. SCOPE OF THIS POLICY

This Policy applies to payments made for Nexora's educational Services, including where applicable:

  • Online English courses;
  • Live virtual classes;
  • Private English lessons;
  • Group English classes;
  • Business English programs;
  • Academic English programs;
  • Spoken English programs;
  • Examination preparation;
  • Interview preparation;
  • Workshops;
  • Seminars;
  • Assessments;
  • Learning materials;
  • Training packages; and
  • Other paid educational Services offered by Nexora.

Different courses may have specific cancellation or refund conditions communicated before enrollment.

Where a course-specific refund policy expressly applies, those specific terms will govern that particular purchase to the extent permitted by applicable law.

3. IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE PAYMENT

Before completing a payment, Students are encouraged to carefully review:

  • The course description;
  • Course duration;
  • Course start date;
  • Class schedule;
  • Delivery format;
  • Course fee;
  • What is included in the program;
  • Any applicable eligibility requirements;
  • Course-specific cancellation terms; and
  • This Refund and Cancellation Policy.

By completing payment, you confirm that you have had a reasonable opportunity to review the relevant information before purchasing.

4. CANCELLATION BEFORE A COURSE STARTS

A Student may request cancellation before the scheduled start of a course.

Where the cancellation request is received before the course begins and the Student has not accessed or substantially used paid digital learning materials or other Services, Nexora may approve a full or partial refund, subject to:

  • The terms communicated for the specific course;
  • Applicable payment-processing costs;
  • Any non-refundable third-party charges;
  • Applicable law; and
  • Any other clearly disclosed enrollment conditions.

Where a course-specific policy provides a different cancellation period or fee, that policy will apply provided that it complies with applicable law.

5. CANCELLATION AFTER A COURSE HAS STARTED

Once a course has commenced, Nexora may have already incurred costs associated with:

  • Instructor time;
  • Class scheduling;
  • Student onboarding;
  • Learning-platform access;
  • Course materials;
  • Administrative services;
  • Assessments; and
  • Other educational resources.

Accordingly, refunds after commencement may be limited.

Where appropriate, Nexora may calculate a refund based on the unused portion of the Service, taking into consideration the amount of instruction already delivered, resources accessed, and other costs reasonably incurred.

A refund is not automatically guaranteed simply because a Student decides to discontinue participation after the course has begun.

6. WITHDRAWAL FROM LIVE ONLINE CLASSES

A Student who wishes to withdraw from a live online program should submit a cancellation request to Nexora as soon as possible.

The request should include:

  • Student's full name;
  • Email address used during enrollment;
  • Course or program name;
  • Payment or transaction reference;
  • Date of enrollment; and
  • Reason for the cancellation, where appropriate.

The date Nexora receives the cancellation request will normally be used when determining eligibility.

7. DIGITAL CONTENT AND COURSE MATERIALS

Where a purchase provides immediate access to digital materials, recordings, downloadable resources, online platforms, or other digital content, refund eligibility may be affected once such content has been accessed or substantially used.

This is because access to digital educational content may constitute partial or substantial delivery of the purchased Service.

However, Nexora will comply with any mandatory rights relating to digital content and online transactions under applicable law.

8. MISSED CLASSES

Missing a scheduled class does not automatically create a right to a refund.

This includes situations where a Student:

  • Forgets a scheduled class;
  • Is unavailable at the scheduled time;
  • Has personal commitments;
  • Experiences a local internet or electricity problem;
  • Fails to check the published schedule; or
  • Does not attend without notifying Nexora.

Where reasonably possible, Nexora may offer a make-up class, alternative session, recording, or other reasonable solution, depending on the course structure and availability.

Such alternatives are discretionary unless specifically included as part of the purchased program.

9. TECHNICAL PROBLEMS

Nexora recognizes that online learning depends on technology.

Student-side technical problems

Nexora generally will not be responsible for refunding a class where the interruption is caused primarily by the Student's:

  • Internet connection;
  • Device;
  • Browser;
  • Software;
  • Local electricity supply;
  • Microphone;
  • Camera; or
  • Other personal technical equipment.

Students are encouraged to test their equipment and internet connection before attending live classes.

Nexora-side technical problems

If a significant interruption is caused by Nexora's systems, instructors, or service delivery and the affected educational Service cannot reasonably be delivered, Nexora will make reasonable efforts to provide an appropriate remedy.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

  • Rescheduling the affected class;
  • Providing a replacement session;
  • Extending course access;
  • Providing an alternative learning arrangement; or
  • Providing an appropriate partial or full refund where the Service cannot reasonably be delivered.

10. COURSE CANCELLATION BY NEXORA

Nexora reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule, or materially modify a course where reasonably necessary.

Reasons may include:

  • Insufficient enrollment;
  • Instructor unavailability;
  • Technical or operational issues;
  • Changes to course structure;
  • Unforeseen circumstances;
  • Regulatory or legal requirements; or
  • Events beyond Nexora's reasonable control.

Where Nexora cancels a course before the Student has received the substantial benefit of the purchased Service, Nexora will generally offer one or more of the following, as appropriate:

  • Transfer to another available course or cohort;
  • Rescheduling to a later date;
  • Equivalent alternative educational Services; or
  • A full or appropriate partial refund.

The remedy offered will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.

11. COURSE POSTPONEMENT OR RESCHEDULING

Where a course is postponed rather than cancelled, Nexora may offer Students the opportunity to:

  • Join the rescheduled cohort;
  • Transfer to another available cohort;
  • Receive an alternative learning arrangement; or
  • Request a refund where the change materially affects the Student and applicable law or the specific course terms provide for one.

Nexora will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes as early as possible.

12. INSTRUCTOR CHANGES

Nexora may change an instructor where reasonably necessary.

A change of instructor does not automatically create a right to a refund if the course remains substantially consistent with the description and educational objectives communicated at the time of enrollment.

Nexora will make reasonable efforts to maintain appropriate teaching quality and continuity.

13. DUPLICATE PAYMENTS

If you accidentally make the same payment more than once for the same Service, please contact Nexora as soon as possible.

After verification, Nexora will arrange an appropriate refund of the verified duplicate payment, subject to applicable payment-provider procedures and any legal requirements.

14. INCORRECT PAYMENT AMOUNTS

If you believe that you were charged an incorrect amount, please contact Nexora promptly and provide the relevant transaction reference.

Nexora will review the transaction and, where an error is confirmed, take appropriate corrective action.

15. FRAUDULENT OR UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS

If you believe that a payment was made using your payment method without authorization, you should contact Nexora and your bank or payment provider immediately.

Nexora may investigate the transaction and may request reasonable information necessary to verify the claim.

Where appropriate, Nexora may coordinate with the relevant payment provider in investigating fraudulent or unauthorized transactions.

16. REFUNDS THROUGH PAYSTACK

Where the original transaction was processed through Paystack, Nexora may process an approved refund through Paystack or another appropriate payment method.

Paystack currently supports both full and partial refunds for eligible transactions. Paystack also states that its transaction charges are non-refundable and that customers should generally expect approved refunds within approximately 3–10 working days, although the actual time may depend on the payment method and financial institution.

Accordingly:

  • Nexora may refund the eligible amount approved under this Policy;
  • Third-party transaction or processing charges may not be recoverable;
  • The amount actually received by a Student may therefore differ where applicable fees are non-refundable;
  • Refunds may take additional time to appear in the Student's account depending on the bank or payment provider; and
  • Nexora cannot control the processing time of a Student's bank or card issuer.

Where a refund is processed through Paystack, Paystack's applicable refund procedures and processing requirements will also apply.

17. PROCESSING TIME FOR APPROVED REFUNDS

Once Nexora approves a refund, we will initiate the refund within a reasonable administrative period.

After initiation, the time required for the funds to reach the Student may depend on:

  • Payment method;
  • Payment provider;
  • Bank or card issuer;
  • International payment processing;
  • Currency conversion;
  • Weekends and public holidays; and
  • Other financial-system processing requirements.

Where Paystack processes the refund, Paystack currently indicates that customers can generally expect refunds within 3–10 working days after the refund is processed, subject to the relevant financial institution.

Nexora is not responsible for delays caused solely by a bank, card issuer, payment processor, or other third-party financial institution.

18. CURRENCY AND INTERNATIONAL REFUNDS

For international payments, the amount received by the Student may be affected by:

  • Currency conversion;
  • Exchange-rate fluctuations;
  • International transaction charges;
  • Bank fees;
  • Card-issuer fees; or
  • Other financial-institution charges.

Where a refund is issued, Nexora will generally refund the eligible amount in accordance with the original transaction and applicable payment-provider procedures.

Nexora cannot guarantee that the exact amount received in a foreign currency will be identical to the amount originally paid in the Student's local currency.

Any foreign-exchange loss or third-party banking fee imposed independently by a financial institution may not be recoverable from Nexora unless required by applicable law.

19. PARTIAL REFUNDS

Where appropriate, Nexora may issue a partial refund.

A partial refund may be considered where:

  • Only part of a program has been delivered;
  • A portion of a paid Service could not be provided;
  • A duplicate payment occurred;
  • A material service issue affected part of the program;
  • A Student withdraws after commencement and is eligible for a partial refund; or
  • Another circumstance reasonably warrants a partial refund.

The amount of any partial refund will depend on the circumstances, the Service already provided, applicable costs, and applicable law.

20. NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS

Unless otherwise stated or required by applicable law, certain charges may be non-refundable, including:

  • Third-party transaction charges;
  • Services already fully delivered;
  • Certain customized or personalized services;
  • Digital materials already substantially accessed;
  • Administrative charges expressly identified as non-refundable before purchase; and
  • Other items clearly identified as non-refundable before payment.

Nexora will not use this section to exclude any refund or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

21. PROMOTIONAL PRICES AND DISCOUNTS

Courses purchased under promotional pricing, scholarships, discounts, special offers, or limited-time campaigns may be subject to specific refund conditions disclosed at the time of purchase.

Unless otherwise stated, the refund will be calculated based on the actual amount paid rather than the standard undiscounted course price.

Promotional offers may not be combined with other offers unless expressly permitted by Nexora.

22. TRANSFERS AND COURSE CREDITS

Where a refund is not appropriate or where the Student prefers an alternative, Nexora may, at its discretion, offer:

  • Transfer to another cohort;
  • Transfer to another eligible course;
  • Course credit;
  • Rescheduling; or
  • Another reasonable educational alternative.

Any course credit will be subject to the terms communicated when the credit is issued, including any applicable expiry date.

23. EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES

Nexora understands that unexpected circumstances may affect a Student's ability to participate.

Exceptional circumstances may include serious personal emergencies, significant medical situations, bereavement, or other circumstances that materially prevent participation.

Where appropriate, Nexora may consider:

  • A partial refund;
  • A full refund;
  • Course transfer;
  • Course credit;
  • Extension of access;
  • Rescheduling; or
  • Another reasonable accommodation.

Exceptional-circumstance requests will be considered individually and may require reasonable supporting documentation.

Nexora's consideration of an exceptional circumstance does not create an automatic entitlement to a refund.

24. REFUND REQUEST PROCEDURE

Your request should include:

  • Full Name:
  • Email Address:
  • Course/Program:

Providing complete information helps Nexora process requests efficiently.

25. REVIEW OF REFUND REQUESTS

Nexora will review refund requests fairly and in accordance with:

  • This Policy;
  • The applicable course terms;
  • The Terms of Service;
  • The circumstances of the request;
  • The Services already provided;
  • Applicable payment-provider requirements; and
  • Applicable laws and regulations.

Where additional information is reasonably required, Nexora may contact the Student before making a final decision.

26. CHARGEBACKS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES

Students are encouraged to contact Nexora first if they believe a payment was made incorrectly or a refund is owed.

A Student may also have rights to dispute a transaction through their bank or payment provider where permitted.

However, initiating a chargeback for a legitimate transaction without first attempting to resolve the matter with Nexora may result in the transaction being investigated by the relevant payment provider.

Nexora reserves the right to provide transaction records, enrollment information, attendance information, communications, and other relevant evidence to a payment provider or financial institution where necessary to respond to a payment dispute.

Nothing in this section limits any legal right a Customer may have to dispute an unauthorized or otherwise unlawful transaction.

27. NO REFUND FOR FAILURE TO ACHIEVE PERSONAL OBJECTIVES

Nexora provides English-language education and training but cannot guarantee a particular academic, professional, examination, employment, immigration, or personal outcome.

Accordingly, dissatisfaction based solely on failure to achieve a personal objective does not automatically create a right to a refund.

Examples include:

  • Not achieving a desired English proficiency level;
  • Not passing an external examination;
  • Not obtaining employment;
  • Not receiving admission to an institution;
  • Not obtaining a visa or immigration approval;
  • Not receiving a promotion; or
  • Not achieving a particular score where no such result was expressly guaranteed.

Students are encouraged to actively participate in classes, complete assignments, practice regularly, and make reasonable use of the educational resources provided.

28. NO REFUND FOR VIOLATION OF STUDENT CONDUCT RULES

Where a Student's access is suspended or terminated because of serious misconduct, fraud, abuse, unauthorized sharing of course materials, unlawful activity, or other material violation of Nexora's Terms of Service, the Student may not automatically be entitled to a refund.

Any refund determination will take into account the circumstances, Services already provided, and applicable law.

29. COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE LAW

This Policy will be interpreted consistently with applicable consumer-protection, electronic-commerce, payment, and other laws.

Where applicable law provides a Customer with a mandatory right to cancel, withdraw, or obtain a refund, that right will prevail over any conflicting provision of this Policy.

For example, Ghana's Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772), as amended, contains provisions concerning electronic transactions and consumer withdrawal rights in specified circumstances. Nexora will comply with applicable statutory requirements.

30. NO WAIVER OF STATUTORY RIGHTS

Nothing in this Policy is intended to:

  • Exclude a statutory consumer right;
  • Prevent a Customer from exercising a lawful right;
  • Restrict a right that cannot legally be restricted; or
  • Remove protections provided by mandatory applicable law.

Where a provision of this Policy conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, the mandatory legal requirement will prevail.

31. POLICY CHANGES

Nexora may update this Refund and Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • Changes in our Services;
  • Changes in payment methods;
  • Changes in refund procedures;
  • Changes in applicable law;
  • Changes in payment-provider requirements; or
  • Improvements to our business practices.

The updated version will be published on the Nexora website with a revised “Last Updated” date.

The version applicable to a particular purchase will generally be the version in effect when the purchase was made, unless a later change is required by law or expressly agreed with the Student.
